Carat & Co. is a business joint venture project established in Europe with African Gemo Resources Ltd., an international company operating in the field of mining, processing and trading of diamonds for several decades. The company has active production licenses in South Africa, Zimbabwe and Ghana, and sales offices in Africa, Europe and Asia.
The history of the company dates back to the 1950s, when Salvatore Ferrante, now Senior of an Italian family from the heart of Sicily, emigrated to South Africa. For many years, the company managed by Salvatore Ferrante has been gaining and consolidating an international reputation thanks to the titanic work of the whole family, respect for business partners and honesty towards customers. This was appreciated in 1977 when Salvatore Ferrante was appointed Director of the South African branch of BDO International, one of the world’s largest consulting firms.
Today, his son Salvatore Ferrante Junior, cultivating traditional family values and the company’s mission, successfully continues the dynamic development of business around the world.
